Endotherm vs. Ectotherm Graphing // Animal Temperature // Warm and Cold Blooded

Created by
Kimberly Frazier
Students graph three lines on one graph: one of the air temperature, one of a cold-blooded animal, and one of a warm-blooded animal. They must decided which animal is which by looking at the graph. The students then answer several more questions about the graph. **This file has been updated in 2021 to include a short text about endotherms and ectotherms, as well as a teacher resource page with answers and the finished graph. It is also able to be used with the TPT Easel app.**Topics: Endotherm

To Thin or Not to Thin Experiment

In these lessons students will design and conduct an experiment to determine how thinning crops affect the yield. Students are split into groups which each are measuring a different variable about the radishes. There are 4 "lessons", but the data collection day is repeated at least 6 times, and is only one day a week. Each lesson has detailed lesson plans, list of materials, and examples of work from students. These lessons some of the best to get students to think like scientists. They were des

I Like That! Interdisciplinary Science Mini-Unit

This FREE, interdisciplinary mini-unit is all about how perception, emotion, and cognition shape our preferences. The Gist: Students will conduct experiments and analyze real scientific data as they learn about themselves. They'll learn how our eyes and brains interact to determine what we like and dislike, and apply this knowledge to fish research and the art of character design.Driving Questions:What makes humans and other animals perceive something as beautiful? How does the way our brain proc
