The song was written as a fun listening exercise. The students need to focus on the directions and it gives them a chance to move their bodies. The song has been used from grades K-7 (however, the older students liked it for the novelty). With a discussion about the expectations, some clarification with some movements, and guidelines that fit your class, the song can break up a long day.

Kuku - from the forest region of Guinea, a rhythm originally used to welcome initiates back into the village. Play this for your students and give them a space to move in. They'll know what to do.
