This interdisciplinary packet is called Athletes Against Bullying. It's a series of scenarios about sportsmanship, sports, and bullying that require students to think, reflect on their choices and actions, and solve problems. I found in my classroom that the students really enjoyed math or reading assignments when paired with something they were interested in. I had a student complain about reading all the time. I found a TPT basketball packet with reading and math problems, and he loved it.

I enjoy the use of these thinking maps for my students. It is a visual way to organize writing. I start out with the CIRCLE MAP to brainstorm ideas related to a writing prompt. The topic is in the center of the circle and the brainstorm ideas are part of the outer circle.
