Alma Interactive Read Aloud & Culture Study + Extension Take-Home Name Activity
Use this culturally diverse read aloud resource to enrich your reading instruction. Students in grades 1-2 will engage in a cultural picture sort to introduce the theme behind the book, Alma and How She Got Her Name. Discussion prompts with page numbers are provided to create an interactive read aloud. Students can participate in an arts-integrated independent activity. An extension activity is provided for students to learn more about their own culture and where their name comes from.
