I digitized a decimal art project, students will use a hundred chart to create a fun design (decimal art). This is a great way to practice using decimals and gives students the opportunity to get creative. Provided is a tutorial video as well as a print out option of the project!
Mondrian Art & Math-An Integrated Lesson
This resource can be used for a review lesson or as a great way to integrate math and art if you are needing a change. This is helpful for students who are visual learners who use base 10 manipulatives too. This integrated lesson is suitable for students who have learned or are learning about decimals, fractions, area, and perimeter. Music Puzzle: Bach's Prelude in Cmaj in 9, 17, 33 pieces
This puzzle build extends the first by dividing Bach's music into smaller and smaller pieces. As kids work through these builds, they apply their knowledge and skills in math to create one-of-a-kind covers or orchestrations. Kids must calculate where parts must be placed and use standard time measurements (MIN:SEC:HND) to complete their work.

This is a quick fun formative assessment on fractions. You can easily change the requirements for different artistic outcomes. Run extra copies because each time I've done this activity I get at least half of the class wanting to make another picture. Depending on the level of students I allow them to use half or quarter squares as well. I also place extra copies in my math corner for students to go to during their free time.
