TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching high school language arts for twelve years. It is the most rewarding job I could have ever hoped for. Previously, I had spent nearly twenty years in marketing and advertising. I find great joy in writing, and have been lucky enough to have some of my work published in Newsweek, The Washington Post, and Modern Bride. But of all my career choices, nothing compares to the passion I feel for teaching.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal is to make learning fun while empowering students to think for themselves. I try to employ creative, collaborative, interactive learning activities in the classroom whenever possible.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My students' learning is the greatest reward, better than any award or accolade.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

B.A. English, SUNY Geneseo. Minors: Secondary Education and Public Relations.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Mom of two adorable boys who are the center of my universe. Currently, I live in Florida, though it's sometimes hard to get the New York City out of the girl.
