Writing Details for Sentences Activity for Writing Stations to Practice Revising

Need help with adding details? These back to school themed revising and editing sentence worksheets will be great for your writing station. I present this by modeling a few pages each day under the hover cam.

If the simple sentence says "The class went on a trip"

I would ask "Can we add a detail to the word class so the reader can know what or which class?" Then I will guide them to say "first grade" Then I would write

"The first grade class went on a trip"

Then repeat with other words such as trip. "What detail can we add to the word trip?"

After a few practice I put a page or 2 in the work on writing center and switch it out each day.
