The activity contains an information sheet about the invasion of Poland with a journal entry from a Polish doctor about the atrocities he witnessed during the invasion. Students will read about the invasion and the persecution of Jews and mentally ill that soon follows. After reading the information sheet, students will complete the response worksheet that contains multiple choice and short answer questions. The stories in this reading passage will leave your students with an unforgettable understanding of the outrageous acts committed by the Germans.
