    Description

If you are looking for quick and easy ideas that you can use in Women's History month to keep your kids on task and engaged then look no more. Every lesson is standards-based, classroom-tested, rigorous, and grade level appropriate for high school level English students to cover many standards. Use them all or use pieces to provide differentiation to your different groups. Having the bundle saves money and provides you with tons of options and flexibility. This pack includes 2-3 weeks of materials depending on your class periods and how you use what's included.

Student Experience: The purpose of this mini unit celebrating women's history and strength is for students to learn not only the need for gender equality, but also to gain some incredible role models in this space - both men and women, so that they can see themselves taking action as well. The texts, activities, and research will not isolate the young men in your class, but rather will draw them into the conversation and show them their valuable role, while the girls feel empowered and honored.

My Women's History Month Gender Equality-Themed Pack Includes:

-- a classic text Sojourner Truth's "Ain't I a Woman" speech with questions, paired video, and creative poetry writing task

-- a modern speech Emma Watson's "He for She" with a short MLA research presentation project

-- a movie guide for A League of their Own, PG, (not included) with a paired info text lesson (link provided)

-- unit reflection form to tie it all together

--FREE BONUS MATERIALS: 3 modern classroom posters (PDF/JPEG format), 5 video journal prompts for bell ringers (editable), and thematic discussion topics (editable)

**Some assembly required, but mostly easy prep :).
