In this activity, Sally the Snowman has found out that the weather is going to be a bit too warm, and she needs your help getting ready for the heat wave! Students will help her solve the math word problems so she doesn't melt! Students will complete 5 winter-themed word problems (multi-step) and create their own snowman craft with this resource. After they solve the problems, students are also asked to color, and then cut Sally the Snowman and all of the problems out. Finally, they paste, tape, or staple the entire problem together to make a fun winter decoration for your classroom. It’s the perfect activity to add some fun to your January math lessons and challenge your students!
