Waiting Room Clip Chart
What educators are saying
Description
Have you ever had a never-ending line form around your desk of students needing help? Then the students start playing as they wait? Problem solved! Students come up and get a number and wait to be called on. It’s kinda like when you’re on hold and the operator tells you, “you are 7th in line to be spoken to”. You can now work with that student one on one without the distraction.
How it works:
- Grab a Number: Students simply grab a number from the chart when they need help.
- Freedom to Focus: Students can then get back to their work or activities without having to crowd around the teacher's desk.
- Crystal Clear Order: The numbered system ensures everyone gets their turn fairly and efficiently. No more confusion or arguments about "who's next"!
- Teacher Time Optimized: Knowing students are waiting patiently allows you to focus on your current lesson or task. Call students forward by number when you're ready to assist them.
Benefits:
- Reduced Classroom Disruptions: Eliminates the need for students to physically line up, minimizing noise and distractions.
- Increased Student Engagement: Students can focus on their work knowing their turn will come.
- Improved Classroom Management: Promotes order and fairness, creating a more relaxed learning environment.
This product is now editable (blank). It comes in many different layout options including one to write the numbers in yourself and black and white options.
Clips not included. I found these clips in the Target Dollar Section for $1. I print on cardstock, laminate with my personal laminator, then I attach it to a basket with glue dots so that its sturdy. There are MANY ways you could choose to display your waiting room. Get creative! You also don’t have to have these clips. Simply get plain clothes pins and write the numbers yourself.
