    Description

All and educator needs for Tier 2 & 3 Social Emotional Interventions! This Mega Bundle includes:

36 In depth social situation slides with engaging graphic organizers to structure the discussion and engage your learners. No Prep!

This no prep lesson slide deck is perfect for all your social emotional learning groups. Support students in working on taking accountability, frustration tolerance, managing impulses, flexibility, problem solving, and identifying the impact of actions on oneself and others.

This Slide deck includes 36 in-depth social emotional dilemmas (one for each week of typical school year). Each scenario has text to speech functionality, and buttons on the bottom of each slide link you to whichever of the nine graphic organizers you'd want to use for processing the situation. This versatile product can be used in large group, small group, individual or independently (where students would have their own copy to record their responses). Collaboratively work with your students on debriefing an example social situation's impact on themselves and others, so they can be better prepared for when a similar situation arrives in their life.

The Building Emotional Skills Together (BEST) Program is an interactive manual designed for supporting students with high social emotional needs through:

    • Structure, expectations and authentic feedback
    • Understanding through debriefing scenarios,  events and actions
    • Accountability for Staff & Students

The Interactive Manual is organized for ease of use with links for everything educators need in developing a behavior management system.  And, every resource is editable, so you can customize to fit your style and setting.

Structure, expectations and authentic feedback are created through:

    • Behavior plans for groups and individuals
    • Point sheets
    • Steps system
    • Break procedures

Understanding is developed through debriefing within a predictable and consistent structure, as well as graphic organizers that can also be used as low-prep relevant lessons.

Accountability is developed through the aforementioned components of structure, expectations, authentic feedback, understanding and debriefing, as well as through using The BEST Programs’ In House Accountability Protocol as a replacement consequence for behaviors that might normally lead to suspension.

Accountability for staff is developed through the data systems for student behavior, school to home communication, and staff data review.

The BEST Program was originally designed for the middle school setting for site-based/ self-contained special education classrooms with a behavioral focus, however applications can be extended to other grade spans, Tier 2 social emotional interventions, general education classes or even school wide.

The BEST Program works within any preexisting social emotional curricula currently in use.

Students with the highest social emotional needs require relational learning and a clear, consistent, predictable structure.  The Building Emotional Skills Together Program provides these critical components and more.  Table of Contents and a quick video about the components included in the program are within the listing details.

AND 50 Short Social Situations with Engaging Graphic Organizers to Engage Learners and Structure the Discussion:

Each slide in this Google Slides Presentation has a social situation for group discussion and lessons. The visual organizers (see samples) can then be used to debrief, process and problem-solve those situations.

Many variations are available for using these situation slides.  They can be used as part of a warm-up for students to talk about when they may have been in a slide’s situation, or as a starting point for a social skills lesson.

The first slide has six links to graphic organizers/ charts, located at the end of the presentation’s slides (each situational slide also has links to the various graphic organizers).  Best practice is to collaborate with the student(s) you’re working with through debriefing the situation and exploring the impact of choices made.  The slides/ graphic organizers can be projected onto a whiteboard, or printed out.

For an example of how one of the graphic organizers can be utilized, see this YouTube video:
