Third Grade End of Year Friendship Memory All About Book Writing Activity

End of Year Writing is a great way to create keepsakes for students and families to cherish, and this writing activity is a fun, engaging, and educational way to do just that! It's a personalized End of Year Writing Memory Book!

I have done this for years with my kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students! It can be easily adjusted for the needs of your class. Each day, or during each writing segment, choose a student to write about. All students will write about the featured student, and then the writings will be placed into a book for that student. Put the pages together for a book that students can keep and re-read time after time.

Here's what is included in this resource:

Title Page

**4 different girl pages

**4 different boy pages

**Print, write the student's name under the All About Me title (or have students write their own name) and then color the picture.

Brainstorming Page

**Traditionally, I draw this page as a poster size page the student then takes home. Students will name words for each part of speech that tells about the student. I write the words on the poster under the correct category. For extra fun, I like to add some details to the clothing to match what the student of the day is wearing so students have to guess who we are writing about. After all the words are on the poster, students use the poster as a word bank for their writing. All students will write about the student on the picture. Collect the finished pages and put them into a book (I use binding combs) for the student everyone wrote about.

Autograph Page

**Use this as the back cover of the book. Students will sign their name on the autograph page.

Helpful tip: Laminate the front cover and back cover once they are completed.
