What educators are saying

I love providing my students with visuals to increase their understanding. I needed something for theme and this was perfect! It was a great resource for my students to refer to when trying to recall theme.
I wish I had bought this at the beginning of the year to post our books that we read through the year. I can't wait to start next year off with it!

Description

Theme is an important skill that most standards cover, whether you follow the common core standards or state standards. These posters will make a great addition to your classroom décor as well as function as a useful tool for you and your students to refer to often. All of these posters can be used with any story and used every week as they are easy to incorporate into any lesson. Since some stories have multiple themes, these posters allow students to argue their opinions.

Several organizers are also included to help your students practice writing about theme and justifying their ideas. Some of the organizers are theme-specific and will allow your students the opportunity to practice and perfect their understanding of different themes, while other organizers can be used for students to apply and extend their understanding of theme. You have the option to use the organizers during whole class lessons, small group, or independent work.

This resource will benefit both you and your students! There are 16 posters available in black and white versions. Print them on cardstock and laminate to use from year to year.

Digital version using Google Slides now included!
