This resource comes in two formats:
- A printable PDF
- Google Slides
This resource contains multiple components:
A. Discussion Questions - There is one question for each chapter, a total of 39 discussion questions! Use them all, or pick and choose the chapters you want to use. These questions are designed to be higher order thinking and will require your students to retrieve evidence from the text to support their answer. This allows students to really focus their thinking and deeply elaborate on one topic.
B. Vocabulary - Each chapter also contains a vocabulary table. Each table contain 4 vocabulary words from the chapter. Students are asked to fill in a table asking them to identify what they think the word means, the actual definition, and the use of the word in a sentence. Vocabulary tables do NOT come with sample answers.
C. BONUS Extension Activities - This resource comes with a handful of extension activities including creative writing prompts, figurative language tables, and other fun ideas for your early finishers or outside the box thinkers. (See preview for more details).
D. BONUS Additional Vocabulary Options - Do you have students who are more creative and do not enjoy filling out a vocabulary table? This resource comes with NINE additional vocabulary options allowing a more fun and exciting way to explore vocabulary. (See preview for more details.)
