► What is The Creeping Hour podcast?
The Creeping Hour is a 5-episode podcast that tells horror stories in 15 minutes or less. Don't worry; they aren't overly creepy and won't give your kids nightmares. Each episode is a stand-alone story, so you can plug an episode into your lesson plans anywhere you need it!
⭐ Halloween
⭐ Before/After Break
⭐ After State Testing Activities
⭐ End of the Quarter
⭐ End of Year Activities
⭐ Sub Plans
⭐ Short Days/Modified Schedules
⭐ ... you name it!
► What do The Creeping Hour podcast worksheets review?
For each episode, I've provided a two-paged podcast worksheet that includes the following:
- Side 1: Listening Activity - Illustrate the setting, conflict, etc. OR a word search
- Side 2: Post-Listening Activity - ELA Standards-based questions and a fun writing prompt
Each episode + activity takes no more than 30 minutes! Oftentimes, they can be completed in 20-25 minutes, depending on how long you let your students work.
Plus, the podcast listening worksheets are included in both printable & digital (Google Slides) formats, so they are truly no prep!
► Why Teachers Love To Use These After State Testing Activities:
Since The Creeping Hour podcast episodes are short & sweet, it is an easy, low-pressure, and (mostly) tech-free way to boost listening comprehension and keep students engaged when it seems tough to do - like after state testing or at the end of year.

They severely lack listening skills/comprehension and this was the perfect resource to force them to pay attention (right around Halloween- even better). They were super engaged and that speaks volumes. They are literally begging for more stories!"
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bowie said, "What a great resource! It allows students to get a chance to listen to a really well-produced podcast and allows them to be really creative in writing. I love that each sheet provides various activities to keep students engaged."
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spectacular in Special Education said, "This was awesome for the end of year chaos - this kept my students entertained! I hope they release more podcasts!"
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mary Beth said, "Even as an adult, these stories are CREEPY! But my students loved them. We used this after state testing. It was a blast!"
