What educators are saying

It always makes me so proud when students can share what they feel is their best feature. A great community building activity.
I paired this with an art project my students did and a lesson about being unique. The kids loved talking about their favorite parts of them.

Description

"The Best Part of Me" writing project and bulletin board display is a beautiful project that will build self-esteem, create a classroom community, and become a beautiful display that is perfect at any time of year.

You will love getting to know your students while also building their self-esteem, developing their writing skills, and becoming the envy of all the teachers in your hallway when you display the finished product!

Students can pick the best part of themselves and complete a short writing activity, just like in Wendy Ewald's amazing book!

Here's what you'll get:

  • A choice of student planning pages with the options for standard or primary lines.
  • A choice of lined paper (with and without a spot for a picture). Each of these options also comes with standard and primary lined pages as well.
  • Bulletin board letters to cut and assemble a beautiful display for students' writing. The letters are printed to spell: The Best Part of Me.
  • Teacher directions.
  • Lastly, as a special bonus, printable sticky note templates that say "The best part of your writing..." are provided for students, families, other teachers, or classmates to write encouraging notes for students' finished work.

The popular book by Wendy Ewald features student pictures of "The Best Part of Me." This project is flexible and allows you to choose to have students take a picture and place it on the page or have them draw a picture.

This is a beautiful display for Open House, Parent Night, Conferences, and more! You will love seeing the beautiful writing students complete!
