Description

Great guidance lesson with fun activities! This Activ flipchart for Promethean Board is great for school counselors or teachers teaching a lesson on honesty. It opens with an introductory comic. Then flips to the title page, then the lesson's objectives. Next, are several higher order thinking prompts inviting the class to brainstorm on the topic of telling the truth. The flipchart then provides the story of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf," in which the teacher can read aloud to the class. Following the story, are prompts for the class to do whole group. Then a group Kagan structure is implemented on components of the story. Next, the students are invited to play the game, "Two Truths and a Lie," which opens with 3 statements about the teacher (adjust this to apply two truths and a lie about yourself), then students are asked to do it and have the class guess which one is the lie. The next page allows for review and closure. Last, students are asked to complete a journal activity with a fun twist to the story they read (older students may write, younger students may draw a picture). My kids loved this lesson!
