Help your students become "SUPER STAR" sentence writers with this fun filled pack! This pack includes anchor charts, rubrics, writing templates, and games for your K, 1st, or 2nd grade students!
Included are the following:
-Super Star Sentence Anchor Chart: The pieces to make the anchor chart are included. These pieces fit on chart paper or in a pocket chart. Please see the preview pictures for details :)
- Super Star Sentence: -5 star rubric for students to color a star as they check their writing. Multiple sizes of this rubric are included! Keep this on students' desks or in a writing folder for easy access.
-"Calvin Capital" : Capital letter anchor chart
-"Edna Ending Mark" : Ending mark/punctuation anchor chart
-"Sammy Space" : Space between words anchor chart
2 worksheets with "Calvin Capital"- students help fix sentences and words that are missing capital letters.
2 worksheets with "Sammy Space"- students re-write sentences by putting space between words.
2 worksheets with "Edna Ending Mark" - students put the proper ending mark at the end of sentences.
-Ending Mark card game:
A card game is included with 28 sentences at the emergent reader level (CVC words) and 28 sentences at the fluent reader level (long vowel, digraph, & r controlled vowel words). These sentence cards can be used in the following ways:
-CLIP IT: students clip the correct ending mark for each sentence with a clothespin
-SCOOT: students scoot around the room with their paper and visit each sentence card. Students write the correct ending mark on their sheet.
-DRY ERASE: Laminate the sentence cards, and kiddos can re-use with a dry erase marker
-4 Award Winning Sentences worksheets: students can correct sentences and write them correctly
-Red Carpet Sentences worksheet: students can practice writing 6 super star sentences
-Sentence Super Star Certificates!
4 different options are included for both boys and girls. Students can color the certificate, and the teacher can sign when students have mastered sentence writing.
-Sentence Writing Practice Pages:
Seasonal writing pages are included for students to practice writing about a variety of topics. Each topic includes 3 pages. Students can write 1 sentence, 2 sentences, or multiple sentences about seasonal topics.
Topics included:
-apples, spiders, pumpkins, snowflakes, snowmen, penguins, hearts, rainbows, shamrocks, flowers, butterflies.
