What educators are saying

We needed artifacts from our space unit for our parent's night. This was a great addition to show what we are learning.
I have used this every year when we get to the Space unit. It is engaging, and really helps my students have a manipulative to explain the rotations of the earth and the moon around the sun.

Description

This simple yet effective craft activity will inspire your young astronomers.

Simple to make with card, 2 x split pins and some glue, this spinning model supports student's understanding of the two ways the earth spins in space.

I was able to video my young students explaining the orbit of the earth around the sun and the rotation of the earth, causing day and night, for their assessment task. They loved it and it as a quick way to ascertain their understanding.

My students still play with them and we have moved onto a new unit in science!!
