Description

Story Retelling and Sequencing Puzzles are fun reading comprehension activities for practicing the skills of retelling and sequencing! Students in reading intervention and small groups read a short story and then place the puzzle pieces in the correct order to practice the skill of sequencing. On the recording sheets, students practice retelling the stories in written form using their own words.

These reading comprehension activities make great activities for literacy centers, small group reading time, tutoring, morning work and RTI reading intervention groups!

✅  I used this resource to reinforce sequencing with my students. They are colorful and fun to use. My students enjoyed them!

✅  I used this resource for my small group of 1st graders with SLD. We've been working on sequencing stories/events, and I was looking for one additional activity to do with them. They really liked how the pieces fit together, and I liked that the activity gave them a visual and physical anchor for a concept that they've really struggled with.

✅  Excellent resource! Very aligned with the standards we use to drive instruction. The students have enjoyed the variety of learning experiences from this set of activities. Thanks so much!
