What educators are saying

My students enjoyed working on this and I cannot wait to use this craft in future years. I work at a dual-immersion school, so we used the template and wrote in Spanish. I was looking for something that was low-prep but was still cute and engaging - this was it!
Fun way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day! Students enjoyed created sentences to say why they're lucky.

Description

Create a St. Patrick's Day lesson where students can.... write, cut, draw, craft, and show the reasons they are LUCKY ! Even more? Put these beauties on a Bulletin Board and keep them up for spring!

Each student will write reasons they are lucky on each stripe of the rainbow creating a beautiful bulletin board for your classroom or the hallways!

Just do the following to complete the craft:

  • Copy the cauldron and the rainbow/coins paper on cardstock.
  • Copy the writing paper on plain white paper
  • Have students trace (for practice) and then write the words, “I feel lucky when…” on the lines.
  • Students write 7 things they feel lucky for in pencil on the draft page
  • Students copy the words from the draft page onto each part of the rainbow.
  • Students trace their writing in marker.
  • Students color the cauldron (or use cardstock as a tracer for black construction paper), rainbow, and coins.
  • Students cut all of the pieces and assemble.
  • Hang up to display for the school to see!!
