Get your students writing in science! This Space related brochure research project will get your students gathering information, reading informational text, and completing many steps before their final draft. These final brochures come out so great! I just love displaying them in the hallway!
This space project includes a full project requirement sheet to send home with students. This explains what information is required on their brochure. The pack includes a graphic organizer the students can use to keep track of their information, as well as a rough draft of a brochure they can fill out before they edit and prepare their final draft. There is also a complete rubric in this pack, made to make grading these as simple as possible! Their final draft comes out best when completed on cardstock.
There are many ways you can modify this to fit the needs of your class. You can have the kids type the information, draw their own illustrations or print them from the computer, create a Power Point to go along with their presentation, etc. You can add on to this project by having your students make a model of their planet, as well.
