Description
Using songs in the classroom is a way to build classroom community while learning. This packet includes 57 original songs to use in your classroom throughout the school day including clean up and transitional songs, dismissal songs, celebration songs, and more.
What does this product include?
This bundle includes my two song packets (Songs for the Year and Songs for Your Day). You will find welcome songs, dismissal songs, hallway songs, clean up songs, theme songs for integrating science and social studies, and more. All of the songs come in both a color and a black & white version. The color versions are perfect for displaying in your classroom in small group or whole group. I personally like to use these in the morning for our Morning Meeting time. The black & white version is perfect for creating a Song Folder for your students. They may highlight phonics skills, sight words, etc., and then practice singing them over, and over to work on fluency.
Who is this product geared towards?
This particular packet is geared towards primary classrooms. Students in grades K-2 would enjoy these songs.
How can I use this product in my classroom?
Begin each morning with a welcoming song from this packet. It is a wonderful way to get students ready for the day. Use the themed and seasonal songs to integrate science and social studies into your school day. Create a song folder for your students to help them work on fluency skills.
*Please be aware that these songs have been written to be sung to familiar kid's songs. Sheet music is not included. Audio versions of the songs are also not included in this packet.
What are teachers saying about this product?
"These songs have easy tunes, and they really tie in themes and content for the whole year! I plan to use some for morning meeting and others for instruction. Thank you!"
"My first graders and I LOVED this this past year! We made song/fluency folders and my students loved practicing the songs we learned at the end of the day. They would also break out in these songs throughout the year. So super cute. Thank you!" -Amanda
"This is awesome. I used to have a poem a week, but not every poem went with a tune. Now my kids and I can sing the poem for better retention. We also use it to highlight concepts that we are learning about."
