Description
"Be the change you want to see in the world" - Ghandi
This is a powerful quote. Inspiring someone to not just sit and dream, but to take action. However, for many people (adults and students alike) it is not that simple. While the dream may be there, the plan is difficult to organize.
I began doing one service learning project a year because my students were so dedicated to their passions. From animals to women's safety to literacy, each student was able to focus on something that was important to him/her. However, the first year I did a service learning, I didn't give enough direction. The students felt overwhelmed and their dreams never took hold.

Included with this Product:
- Overview describing in the detail the steps students will need to go through to complete a service learning project. I begin with listing topics for students to choose from, and lead them through the process of focusing their topic, researching, choosing an action, and carrying out the action.
- Research Graphic Organizer. Often times there are mountains of research on topics like these, and trying to learn about them can be overwhelming. I have listed key questions to guide student research as they learn more about their focus area and topic.
- Project Planner. I made this organizer in an easy-to-use fill in the blank format. Students simply fill in the blanks or circle options to lead them through the steps of planning their action.
