Screen Printing - 24 Page How To Handbook for Teachers

If you are new to screen printing, or are interested in bringing this awesome analog printing technique to your classroom and need a good starting point, this is it! This 24 page handbook is a How To document made specifically for teachers and students in the Art, CTE, Graphic Design and Marketing programs.

Screen printing has been the most engaging and rewarding art process that I've had the privilege to introduce to my students. It's a long process, but so worth it!

When I first got started, I bought a "starter kit" that I thought would come with everything I needed to get me started (wrong) and that they would provide information to help me get going (double wrong). So after lots of practice, talking to professionals, lots of youtube videos, and lots and lots of trial and error - I put this handbook together for my fellow teachers.

Key Features:

  1. Hands-On Learning: This handbook offers step by step instructions for a highly engaging hands-on experience with screen printing, even if you are brand new or haven't done it in years!
  2. Everything from Set up to Clean Up: Start with a design and print onto transparency material - this handbook includes every step from start to finished product and clean up for reuse or reclaim!
  3. Quick Sheet Instructions: Want to give your students a one or two page step by step for each part? Print them off! Quick Sheets are included for your ease and to help with student instruction.
  4. Equipment and Supply Lists and Links: Like I said above, I bought a starter kit thinking it was everything I needed. It wasn't, and now I know what I actually needed and what I didn't really need. I've linked the list for your convenience and it's included in the PDF handbook!
  5. Helpful Tips and Tricks: From what I've learned so far in my attempts, successes and failures - to help you out and get you through it faster and easier!

Applications:

  • CTE Courses: Ideal for CTE classes in graphic design, digital arts, photography and visual communications.
  • Art and Design Classes: Enhance art curriculum by introducing digital techniques and tools or use these pages as prints to color traditionally!
  • Digital Arts Clubs: Empower students to develop their digital art skills and create unique, colorful Baby Dino Valentine Cards or Prints.

Get high engagement out of your students with the Screen Printing How To Handbook and empower your students with analog art skills that teach patience and perseverance. This resource not only enriches their educational experience but also prepares them for a successful pathway to a future in the world of art!
