This lesson plan gives you a fun hands-on lesson all about being a detective and working out a variety of secret clues from code breaking using mirrors, water, code wheels, Morse code and more!
It includes lots of activities the children can perform in the class and then take home and share with their parents. It's a great talking point for sharing a learning experience!
This lesson plan also includes a really valuable animated PowerPoint which clearly helps show the answers to the clues! This session includes lots of fun and memorable experiments for children to try.
This lesson plan is ready to use with no preparation other than gathering the readily available equipment and printing out the worksheets that are included in the lessons!
The session is designed to last between 45-75 minutes dependent on the activities you choose to include and can be spread across one or more sessions! Have a go, have fun and learn something along the way!!
PLEASE NOTE: There are different files for KS1(4-7yr olds) and KS2 (7-11 yr olds)
KS2 contains harder clues - so please ensure you use the complete set you require!
