Scientist Spotlight- Do Now: Celebrate culturally diverse scientists each day including scientists for Hispanic Heritage Month, Native American/ American Indian Month, African American/ Black History Month, Women's History Month, Asian American/ Pacific Islander Month, LGBTQ+ Month, and much more.
Daily Do-Now: Each day students do quick research for the scientist of the day, write a sentence in both a weekly google doc (submitted each Friday) and the class chat. A student counts down to press enter, “waterfall “ technique, and all submit the information. Together we share aloud. Students enjoy learning about scientists especially “not the ones we learn about every year” during celebratory months.
