What educators are saying
This resource worked out well with my students. It kept them engaged and helped them learn the standard better.

Other TPT products were a bit beyond what my students were capable of doing independently so I created this based off the 5 E's.First students will explore by resPrice $5.40Original Price $6.00Save $0.60
Description
During this activity students will calculate the scale distances for each of the planets makes 93,000,000 miles=1 cm. Then students will use their rounded results to create a poster that represents the scale distances of the planets. Once my students were done I let them decorate with beads, string, and glitter! Once they complete their posters they will complete conclusion questions as a group.
I spent one day teaching part 1 to the students so they understood what the scale distance represented, during this time I only gave them part one. The next day I reviewed how to use the ruler and then they completed part 2... that is why part 2 has the rounded answers on it... you can edit this document and take that out if you want to distribute the directions as one packet!
