Revise and Edit Turn Sour Writing Sweet SMARTBOARD

This fun SMARTboard lesson can be both a lesson and practice. It works well as a teacher directed lesson allowing for discussion, distance learning, or even an independent center. All slides are self checking. Students will edit samples of writing by choosing correct punctuation, adding and deleting sentences, correcting grammar, and making decisions about how to write a sentence better. Examples include how to punctuate compound sentences, quotations, addresses, word usage, adding information or removing off topic sentences, and more. Presentation is a bright and cheery citrus theme. Very useful when reviewing for writing tests. There are actually so many passages in this one lesson that it can be broken down into several lessons. Great for students grades 4th-6th depending on the level of the class. 3rd graders could do this lesson with some guidance and critical reading.
