This interactive digital resource in Google Slides drag words from the question to create answers. Then students type their own answer stems. Two versions are available for differentiation.

Page 2-6: Interactive Drag Slides Students will drag words from the question to create an answer sentence.
Pages 7: Restate the question Students read the question and restate the question as an answer stem putting a .. where the unknown information would go. Slide 7 is the same on both versions so you can use it as a whole class example.
Page 8-19:Differentiated Slides The slides are different on the two versions. One version is simple and asks questions like "When is the party?" Another version is uses more advanced vocabulary and two part questions. This lets you pick the version that works best for your students. If you teach English Language Learners like I do, you can take their levels into account when deciding.
I created this for sixth grade English Language Learners. I gave most of them the advanced version. Some newcomers and special ed students used the simpler version. I would use the simpler version with students who were on grade level in 2nd or 3rd grade. As an intervention teacher, I find that the upper grade students need more help in writing than we sometimes expect.
