About the Reading Homework Bundle

This reading homework bundle includes 11 sets of skill-specific reading homework.

Each set includes:

• 4 texts written at two levels - 1 text per week
• 3 options for daily open-ended assignments (Monday-Wednesday)
• Thursday text-dependent questions – most are short answer, but a few sets also include multiple choice

***Reminder: One text is used for an entire week!

Using the Reading Homework Sets

•One text is meant to be used for an entire week.

•There is a different assignment each day with the same text. The students will revisit the same text each day to complete the daily assignment. This will support a deeper understanding of the play and provide the student a chance to practice close reading.

•Each set includes 3 options for the daily assignments for you to choose from based on your students' needs. The assignments vary in difficulty level. A blank directions page is also included if you want to write in your own directions for the daily assignments

•For each daily assignment option, Monday through Wednesday are general, open-ended responses to the texts, and Thursday is a set of text-dependent questions specific to each text.

Follow these steps to assign the review work each week:

1. Choose and print the directions and passage level you want to use.

2. Print the Thursday comprehension questions.

3. Staple the pages and you have a week’s worth of review ready for your students.
