Description
This word document contains a reader's theater script for The Recess Queen by Alexis O'Neill along with six higher-level Blooms questions to go with the text.
This story is about a bully everyone calls "Mean Jean"--who is the queen of recess--until one day a teeny, tiny new student named Katie Sue stands up to Jean and then actually asks Jean to play with her. Nobody has ever asked Jean to play! She and Katie Sue become friends and the playground bullying comes to a stop!
There are 20 different narrators in the script, but this could easily be adapted to fit larger or smaller class sizes.
