Description

This is a 25 page flipchart. You will need the software ACTIVINSPIRE to use with a promethean board. This has 4 days of lessons to use to teach finding theme and then comparing theme with multiple texts. Includes two stories (A bad case of stripes and The Ugly Duckling) links to stories and read alouds as well as three poems. It also includes mini-lessons for finding the theme and common themes. Includes flocabulary link and link to review figurative language as well as strategies for comprehending poetry. Partner activity and whole class practice included. Assessment will take place on day 5 using two poems with similar themes (you will have to find). Flipchart is paced out with "day 1" "day 2" etc.
