Description
This 8th-grade math resource provides teachers with 32 slides for working with Geometry unit; Pythagorean Theorem, triangle angles, two parallel lines cut by a transversal & volume. Students will solve problems that involve angle relationships created by parallel lines and transversals to set up equations, solve for n, and find the value of the angle measures. Students will also have to identify corresponding angles and alternate interior angles. Students will practice solving questions about the angle sum and exterior angles of triangles, and set up multi-step algebraic equations to find the missing angles. Students will solve real-world problems that involve finding the volume of cylinders, the volume of cones, and the volume of spheres. They will also have to solve questions where they are given the volume and must find the missing radius or height. Students will practice solving questions about the Pythagorean Theorem. Included are the Pythagorean converse, Pythagorean theorem word problems, distance on a coordinate plane, and 3D applications of the Pythagorean theorem. Students will practice with skill-based problems, real-world application questions, and error analysis to support higher-level thinking skills.
