☆ Game Categories and Question Types ☆

• TYPES OF POV: students are given definitions or clues words and students must supply which point of view is being presented
• WHICH POV: students are given paragraphs written using one type of point of view and students must supply which point of view is being presented
• THIS OR THAT?: students are given paragraphs and then a choice between two possible points of view and students must supply which point of view is being presented
• GUESS THE NARRATOR: students are given paragraphs that give clues as to who the narrator is in the story and students need to use those clues to state who the narrator is
• COMPARE: students are given two accounts of the same event and students must answer the question about whose point of view it was

I play this game a little differently when in whole group. I like to have all students ENGAGED and REVIEWING every question.  So, I do this by having each team answer every question. Here’s how it goes:

1. Divide students into groups of up to six teams.
2. One team chooses the category and amount. EVERYONE answers the questions with their groups and records their answer on their whiteboards. 
3. The team whose turn it is shows me their answer. If correct, I award them the points. If incorrect, any team that has the correct answer can go for the steal and get the points for that question. 
4. Then the next team gets to choose the category and points.
