Description

A perfect STEM book for kids in the classroom or at home! This covers reading, science, and poetry in one lesson that will keep students entertained while learning whether they are physically at school or doing distance learning. This rhyming story explains thermodynamics in a way students can relate to with illustrations of ice, snow, water, steam, and a thermometer. The rhyme makes it fun to read for both students and teachers.

These poems and bright colors will appeal to a preschooler and the chemistry concepts will challenge an elementary or middle school reader. The illustrations that accompany the story provide examples of where these different phases of water are found so that children can end the story with a practical understanding of the liquid, solid, and gaseous phases water that can be applied to their everyday lives (ice or snow melting in their hands, water boiling on the stove, etc.).

Written by an experienced Chemical Engineer and mother, "Phase Change with Friends" strikes the right balance between education and entertainment that will inspire your students to enjoy science and become interested in STEM topics from an early age!

If your students enjoy this, teachers and/or parents can buy their own paperback copy of "Phase Change with Friends." Learn more by visiting my website.
