    Description

Perimeter & Area on the Coordinate Plane Bundle includes 2 products.

    1. Perimeter on a Coordinate Plane Guided Notes and Practice

Teaching students how to compute the perimeter of polygons using coordinates is nearly impossible without the right resources!

Save yourself (and your students) time, energy and frustration with these no prep guided notes with practice.

On the two pages of notes, perimeter is defined and there are four “Let’s Try” problems for you to introduce finding perimeter on a coordinate plane using either the distance formula or pythagorean theorem.

Fully worked out answer keys are included to help you easily guide students through the notes before letting them apply their newfound knowledge with a variety of standardized test style practice questions.

The two practice pages contain 6 practice problems of varying difficulty level.  The practice problems are great for individual, partner or small group classwork or as homework.

✳✳ Some of the more challenging standardized test style questions may require students to brainstorm strategies in pairs or small groups. ✳✳

    2. Area on the Coordinate Plane Guided Notes and Practice

Teaching students how to compute the area of polygons using coordinates is nearly impossible without the right resources!

Save yourself (and your students) time, energy and frustration with these no prep guided notes with practice.

On the two pages of notes, area is defined along with several area formulas for common geometric shapes. There are four “Let’s Try” problems for you to introduce finding area on a coordinate plane using either the distance formula or pythagorean theorem.

Fully worked out answer keys are included to help you easily guide students through the notes before letting them apply their newfound knowledge with a variety of standardized test style practice questions.

    Why use Guided Notes?

Did you know that research shows guided notes increase students’ active engagement during lessons?  Studies have also found that students, regardless of achievement level and/or disability, earn higher scores with guided notes versus taking their own notes.
