Description

Paragraph Writing Frames are a wonderful resource to help support struggling writers. This pack includes 20 different writing frames to support all learners. There are four frames to choose from within each text structure (sequence, cause & effect, compare & contrast, problem & solution, and description.)

What are paragraph frames?

Paragraph frames are a perfect support for students who have difficulty writing strong paragraphs. Paragraph frames guide students by providing them with transitional phrases for sentences.

How do I use paragraph frames?

1. Teach students the basics of paragraph writing

2. Discuss with students how to write a framed paragraph.

-Students will receive a blank paragraph frame

-Students will use their own thoughts to fill in the blanks of the frame.

-Students will re-read their completed paragraph and make changes so the paragraph will make sense.

-Students will re-write the completed paragraph on a blank sheet of paper.

-Provide students with a blank frame, and allow them to work!
