Thank you for purchasing this resource “Food Truck Challenge: Nutrition and Health”. This is a fun resource where students design a food truck and signature dish. They will then evaluate their dish based on the USDA’s MyPlate criteria. This resource includes information and activities which will immerse your students in the world of engineering and nutrition. Students can work alone or in small groups.

Students will:

1. Design and build a food truck that will sell their food.

2. Complete 2 webquests to explore the world of food and nutrition.

3. Apply knowledge of MyPlate and nutrition to create 2 signature dishes.

This resource is designed to be completed within one week. You may also choose to assign homework depending on your schedule. Students can work alone or in pairs. This resource includes the original product and an editable version for your convenience. I have also included teacher notes and answer keys.
