Recordings for "OMYGOSH I Need a Music Sub!"
These recordings are made to go along with the OMYGOSH I Need a Music Sub! packet that I have listed for free. All songs stem from use in a Kodály based music classroom. They do not include written music, but are just piano accompaniment tracks. All are in .mp3 format and can be easily burned to a CD, or simply imported into and used from iTunes.
Track List
1 – Lemonade
2 – Doggy Doggy
3 – Lucy Locket (Change volume on CD player as the seeker moves around the room)
4 – Naughty Kitty Cat
5 – Snake Baked a Hoecake (Stop the track if the lizard gets caught)
6 – Bluebird
7 – No Robbers Out Today
*All songs begin with the starting pitch/chord played 3 times to sound like “Ready Sing” except for Snake Baked a Hoecake, which starts right on “The--------Snake”
All songs are based in the key of C except for Snake Baked a Hoecake, which is in G.
Remember, these tracks are not meant to be perfect performance tracks – they’re meant to enhance the fun for students and provide substitute teachers with some fun musical activities. I also love to use them occasionally because it enables me to walk around the room and assess student singing up close.
And one more thing...
I am all about substitutes having truly musical lessons to teach when you're not there. A feature of many of my products is that they include sub-friendly instructions and recordings to play the games. In order to make it easier to have these activities ready, I have compiled 1 PDF file with ALL music, games, and recordings (and corrected the track numbers so you can have everything on 1 CD) into one pack from the following products:
