What educators are saying

This template supports my students with tracking difficulties, and provides them with an easy to follow step-by-step process.
My students were struggling with the concept of multiplying from the tens place and then adding together. This is helping keep them neat and organized and remembering what comes next.

Description

I use these grids/guides to teach my special education students how to multiply multi-digit numbers.

These grids are blank so you can use them with any problems! You can write the problems in the boxes for the student, or you can write it next to the problem or on the board so that the student is required to transfer it correctly into the grid/guide.

Page 1 - 2-digit x 2-digit and 3-digit x 2-digit, with boxes, with zeros provided

Page 2 - 2-digit x 2-digit and 3-digit x 2-digit, with boxes, zero is only provided for the first problem

Page 3 - 2-digit x 2-digit and 3-digit x 2-digit, grid, with zeros

Page 4 - 2-digit x 2-digit and 3-digit x 2-digit, grid, zero is only provided for the first problem

Page 5 - 3-digit x 3-digit, with boxes, with zeros provided

Page 6 - 3-digit x 3-digit, with boxes, zero is only provided for the first problem

The far left boxes in the answers are dashed because they are not always necessary depending on how big the factors and product are.

If you notice any mistakes, please let me know so I can correct them as soon as possible!
