Description
Add print-practice and name writing to your morning work routines with personalized student sign-in sheets. These editable sign in sheets will give your students practice writing their name, memorizing the days of the week, and counting. Quickly and easily make morning work sign-in sheets for all your students. Four seasons and are included in this discounted bundle: Back-to-School, Autumn, Winter, and Spring.
There's more! When you purchase this bundle, you get a "subscription" to sign-in-sheets for all the major school-year holidays: Halloween, Christmas, Hannukah, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Earth Day! Four weeks prior to each holiday, the Bonus File will be updated. There's nothing further to buy or sign up for! To get the sign in sheet for the upcoming holiday, you just download the resource from the My Purchases section of your TpT account.
With this downloadable resource you can make a personalized sign-in sheet for every student in your class in minutes. Just type the student's name in any text box. The rest of the text boxes will fill in automatically. Then print!
These themed sign-in sheets work with the free Adobe Reader. You don't need to install any fonts or paid software. The art is "blackline" so it will copy clearly.
How it Works
Step 1: Enter the "Week of" date (optional - you can write the date in by hand if you prefer.)
Step 2: Type a student's name in any of the text fields.
Step 3: Press Enter.
Step 4: Print one copy.
Step 5: Repeat steps 2-4 for the remaining students.
When you're finished, you'll have a personalized back to school sign-in sheet for every student in your class!
How I use 'em
I make a bundle of six for each student and put the bundle in their desk or cubby. Every day when they come in, they write their name next to the corresponding day of the week. At the end of each week, I give them a little sticker or feedback in the space provided. At the end of the six week term ...time for a new set! You can even keep the bundles as back-up attendance and to see their printing progress.
Having students sign in and practice writing their names is great routine to start at the beginning of the year.
For differentiation, you can give a blank sign-in sheet to students who can already print well.
Occasionally, I'll print one out, cut off the days on the left side, and give it to a student who needs extra practice printing their name.
