Description
Morning meetings are such an important part of building community in the classroom. Beginning the day with deep breathing, conversations, character education, and an overview of the day is so important to keeping the day structured and kids knowing how the day will look.
This morning meeting bundle can be projected using either PowerPoint or Google Slides. The daily tasks and schedule are editable, but include everything you need to start having a morning meeting with your students without preparation.
- I have students sit in a circle on the front rug, and begin the meeting with two deep breaths.
- We then continue the meeting by following the steps that are projected on the board.
- There is a daily question of the day to get students thinking, to build character, and sometimes, to just find out more about one another.
In all, you can expect to have the morning meeting take about 15 minutes (maybe a little less depending on how you have students share their thoughts and ideas).
