My students love this game because it is so much fun! I love this game because it helps my students identify coins, know their value, and know facts about coins. This game is great for whole group, small group, and center work.
In this activity, students choose a card with an item they would like to purchase. They select which like or mixed coins they would use to pay for this item and record these coin on their recording sheet. This is a great activity for whole group, small group, and center work.
In this game, students try to have the higher coin value on their card to earn points. There are two versions for counting like or mixed coins. I have also included a second way to use these cards to play the game Bank It!
These puzzles are a big favorite in my classroom! I have included 5 puzzles:
-A coin identification puzzle
-2 like coins puzzles where students match the coins to their value
-2 mixed coin puzzles where students match the coins to their value
