Math and Modeling in Science

Ultimately, students will be able to collect data, manipulate data using Excel, create graphs using Excel, then provide scientific explanations for results. Independently or in groups, students will first evaluate diverse graphs and modeling forms using published resources. After they are familiar with graphing types. labels, and purposes, they will analyze, compile, and graph data using learned resources. The lesson includes Excel tutorial. Students are required to collect their own data.
