A document based question (DBQ) activity that has students explore the impact of Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights movement by analyzing six primary and secondary source documents. Students will then answer the questions included for each document.
Students will then use what they've learned to write a structured paragraph that answers the prompt: How did Martin Luther King’s leadership and advocacy impact the civil rights movement and shape American values?
