Description

I’m so glad you found this sample! If you enjoy, it go check out the full resource for all the letters.

I really wanted to create a hands on, full sensory approach to learning individual letters. These pages are something that could be done at school, as take home work or for home learning. This resource is made up of two different pages for each letter.

First, is a writing page. Every writing page has 6 different sections:

  • Build
  • Color
  • Trace
  • Write
  • Find and circle
  • Draw

Building the letter will give the child an opportunity to see how lines and curves come together to make the shape of a letter. Then they can trace it and write it. Then, they have an opportunity to find the letter with detractors. Last, they can color something that starts with the letter and draw something that starts with the letter.

The second part of the resource, is a Hands On letter activity. This activity is intended to help your child be able to see, touch, smell, taste, or hear something that will help them remember the letter. These are activities that should be easy to do with materials you already have in your school or house or things you can pick up at a dollar store. There is also a snack idea that starts with the letter you are working on.

Many children need their bodies fully engaged in activities to commit a concept to memory and both of these pages are a great way to help them learn with a multi-sensory approach. I can’t wait to see how this helps your child or students!

Thanks!
