Language Arts Song & Book Craft Big Bundle - HeidiSongs

Would you like your kids to make their own books that they can SING and READ? They will be able to "read" every word in our books because they learn to sing the words! The audio file comes with each book and instructions for making them. When they are done, you can do a guided reading lesson with your WHOLE class at once, having them try to point at the words as they sing them. Then have them try to find some specific words on each page, such as sight words! They can also use their knowledge of beginning sounds to find other unknown words on the page!

In Heidi's class, they made at least one of these books each month and then did a guided reading lesson with them! When the children took their books home, they had something they knew how to read to put into their home libraries.

Each book craft project includes a song to sing along as the book as you read the book! Heidi's kids often sang along as they completed the craft each day. There are books for holidays such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, along with non-holiday themes like Farm, Zoo, Sea Life, and Seasons. The last of the books are language arts themed with parts of a story, how to read, rhyming, and math themes of shapes and addition doubles.
