Lab: Total Blood Volume, Stroke Volume, and Cardiac Output

This simple lab activity will allow students to estimate their total blood volume, stroke volume, and cardiac output, both at rest and while exercising. Metric units are used as per Canadian standard.

Materials required: Scale, measuring tape, stop watch, and calculator.
